Next-level Knitwear! How do you pair your knits?
•Posted on March 31 2021
As the temperature dips and sun-kissed skin comes to end, it is time to make room in your closet for cozy knits. Not only do chunky wools, sweaters and cardigans encourage style but it also allows you to layer with ease!
For chic styling during the chilly season, ponchos are the ideal option to keep you warm and feeling fab. Ponchos seem to make a popular appearance as the Autumn leaves fall and is the perfect choice for the fashion-savvy lady. Give your favourite trench a break and opt for a pretty Poncho - perfect to wear with jeans, leggings and boots for casual outings and will protect you from the cold.
As if we were not already head over heels for double denim, have you heard about double knits? A quick and simple way to achieve the double-knit look would be to pair your chunky sweater with a knitted beanie and scarf. This is one trend that everyone is going “knits” for right now and so are we!
The ultimate piece for Winter, difficult to imagine that this cannot be found in any lady’s wardrobe, has got to be the Cardigan. The cardi can easily be combined with other fashion trends – one of our faves is pairing your cardi with a cute tank and denim jeans. Add some knee-high boots or ankle boots, a chunky necklace or scarf and you are all set!
The up-coming season promises to bring soft and warm tones. If you are looking for a colour guide on what hues to choose from when selecting your knits, then look no further! Colours in this season are:
- Beige and neutral hues
- Soft light pink
- Yellow
- Obvs! Always the current classic colours black and white
- Juicy and bright shades of red
- Ultramarine
- Rich emerald
The main priority of knitwear is to give comfort and warmth. At fbo, we have a beautiful selection to choose from the likes of Zero, Zalando, River Island, s.Oliver, Tom Tailor, Dorothy Perkins and so much more from as little as R129.
We would love to hear from you! Comment and let us know how you pair your knitwear and what is your absolute fave?
