S.Oliver Group was founded by Bernd Freier in 1969 where he opened the first “Sir Oliver” retail outlet in Germany. The store was only 25 square metres: the size of a one-bedroom, one-bathroom tiny apartment in Sweden. Sir Oliver was only renamed to S.Oliver in 1978, so we think it’s safe to say they have been around the block.
